Some Villains Though...
Jul. 20th, 2021 02:26 pmOn the other side of things, some villains really do deserve to get their just desserts. Just saying.
I make a variety of villain types across all my many stories, but wow, some of them really are just like that and it's hard to entertain the thought of putting them into a different story where they don't have to be that way.
Some villains are so easy. I can easily put them someplace else, where they don't have to be the villain or at least not that bad of one, maybe something silly and cartoony or like some sort of Team Rocket Jesse and James vibe. Maybe they're just working at a bookstore or they're explorers or whatever. Maybe they're learning what it means to be a part of a family or they get to discover what friendship really feels like or they get to have all the pets and/or plants to their heart's content.
But other villains? Oh my golly gawsh. I really am like "you are only going to exist in that one story" (and how dare you even exist there at all, but that's the story so I'll respect it. I guess. v: ) because thinking about you existing in something else could be equally bad even if I am aware I can easily change that. It's just so hard, you know?
Villains can be fun though and silly shenanigans that involve them are definitely something I love to do. I guess I have some limitations there, but I'm sure that all it would take is one random, silly idea to pop into my head and I'll go "yeah okay I'll make that a thing now because it's fun and funny so congrats to you, Absolute Dickhead, you get to have another opportunity where you're less of a jerk than you normally are".
