Pine Aura

Here’s some more from this story because it’s still on my mind amidst way too many others. The Herald and the Braider. Again, both initially played in the sandbox of Dragon Age, but later would be taken out to explore in my own story.

The Herald is technically the least developed of my Big Three, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have anything. She’s kind of a chaotic mess (okay, a chaotic mess that’s different from the Heroine & Champion haha) and nobody anticipated her of all people to be the Herald and yet. Haha! Her, let’s say, unorthodox methods and approach to things still manage to unite people under a common banner. She’s also big and strong and towers over many so, you know, people kinda think twice before crossing her. Kinda.

The Braider is probably (or not so probably?) what you would think he’d be. To braid is to take parts and intertwine them; you may see the seams and yet they are simply intricate; in parts flimsy, but made stronger when woven together. He’s witty with a heart of gold and it’s that combo that has him make connections… both friendly and not so friendly. What can I say? I’m a fan of these haha

Recently I have been going through previous art of mine (partially to look for things and partially to sort & pack) and with recent discussions I've had with others regarding the new Dragon Age game, reminded/helped me uncover these OCs that once were played in that sandbox. 

While initially they were clearly designed with DA in mind, I would eventually (as is usual for me) take them out of that and put them in my own story. So here I've kinda blended the inspiration of DA, but they're very much in their own world/stories now.

Still, it's been nice to think about them and just do some quick sketching of them again<3 These ladies are perhaps some of my most cool ones even if I still struggle to portray that xD

(If you're wondering, I would also come up with the Inquisitor based OC, but she's the least developed of the three. I never figured out how she plays into the new story beyond being an unforeseen herald and that "they all eventually team up" haha)
