I don’t play around in other, established sandboxes often, but it can be fun. When I do play around, eventually I end up taking my OCs I was exploring with and put them in my own story. Sometimes the story is clearly inspired by the world the characters were initially played in. Other times I end up in a completely different direction.

Of course I'd find out there's a low-level Splatoon competitive thing now when I'm no longer interested in trying for it (for fun).

Deep Cut's "Anarchy Rainbow" from Splatoon 3 is incredible and incredibly fun!

One of the things I love about Splatoon and its music is the culmination and amalgamation of various inspirations all beautifully interwoven together in a fun and mesmerizing way. Anarchy Rainbow is perhaps one of the best examples of how they blended in multiple cultural influences into a rad song after years of exploring such interwoven styles since the first Splatoon game. They really put a lot of love into this song and, in my opinion, really helped to show appreciation for the respective influences they have in it.

We have Japanese, Indian, and Brazilian representations wonderfully blended in together to create a really neat sound that's fun to dance and sing along to. While it's easiest to spot them with the respective idol's part (Japanese for Shiver, Indian for Frye, and even they hype man part heard so often in Brazilian, and by extension, Latin American music via Big Man's part). While the chorus and main rhythm is all Brazilian (samba based) the entire song still has ties to the other two influences by how the song has layered the instruments.

It's just so beautifully done! This is the kind of exploration in interweaving of multiple culture's style of music I adore and would love to see more of in the world. Splatoon 3 has set up the stage very nicely and I hope it helps inspire other people to try exploring such blended styles.

For the moment, I'm going to be jamming to this song for the entire day. The world premiere Splatfest is happening today and I couldn't be more hyped. This song sets the stage, sets the mood, and I can't help, but fall into its rhythm<3

Wild to be able to pre-order a game because I have a job that gives me decent amount of money from which I can save enough of it so I can do just that. What a heckin concept

I'm still waiting for Final Fantasy 5 and 6 to have a remake or remaster. They got through 1 to 4 and then just as I was anticipating 5 and then 6 to be announced they jumped to 7.

(・-・)

I know Squeenix has a thing with numbers (hello Kingdom Hearts), but come on.

But 5 and 6 have such potential for a solid remake. Octopath Traveller and Triangle Strategy are gorgeous in their designs and I would looove if 5 and 6 got that treatment. A dream, maybe, but a good one.

As someone who's always wanted to play all the earlier FF (I started with Tactics and 7) I'm always sad to know they have just been silent about 5 and 6. I haven't played those ones yet and they're the only two I'm missing from when I originally got into the series. Please make 5 and 6 happen ;o;

Coming in quickly to say that the Nintendo Direct was so good. I love it every time we get one. There's just something so nice and fun about it all whether or not I'm interested in all the games that get shown.

It's also a reminder how much I need a job so I can have the ability to save up money for games. There's so many games I wanna get this year oh my golly gawsh!

I... have a lot of screenshots to go through. I really do take a lot of pics haha but games are so pretty! And fun!

I want to share some screenshots online, but I don't think I could curate any of that on DW. Maybe. We'll see. I just wanna share all the stuff I take. Okay maybe not all the stuff because that's way too many and I also have some standards haha I'll tag the posts if I figure something out. But it seems I need to go through screenshots first to figure out what to curate in the first place. v:

I have... so many Pokémon photos. Like So Many. I don't know what I'm going to do with them all, but I have them and the pile keeps growing. I really do love this game, but I uh... haven't exactly been thinking about what I'm planning to do with all these photos. Only a portion of them are for like eventual drawing inspiration material, but the rest? Hahaaaa *sweats*

Maybe I should share them somewhere? I don't know. I really don't know. I just have all these photos spilling out all over the place it feels.

1) 2 Mello released their Sounds of Tokyo-to Future album and it's sooooo good!! I've been patiently waiting for this album of their's and I know it's probably been such a journey for them, but their efforts really paid off and I hope they not only feel a sense of relief, but will take the time to celebrate (and relax). Love the album and have been listening to it on repeat all day long. It's gonna be a repeat listen all week at least. Golly I just love music so much!
